Why LoopBreak uses Accessibility
LoopBreak uses Android Accessibility Service to operate the app-blocking controls that the user chooses to enable. This page explains what the service does, when it may run, and what it does not collect.

1. What Accessibility is used for
LoopBreak uses Android Accessibility Service to detect when a selected blocked app becomes active during a recurring schedule, Quick Lock, or another user-enabled protected state.
When LoopBreak detects that a blocked app has been opened while blocking is active, it moves the user away from that app. This is the core app-blocking function of LoopBreak.
Accessibility may also be used to help protect relevant LoopBreak or Android settings from being changed while an active protection period is running.
2. Why this permission is needed
Android does not provide a standard permission that allows an app like LoopBreak to reliably detect and respond when another selected app is opened.
Accessibility Service allows LoopBreak to recognize when a blocked app becomes active and respond immediately while the user's selected blocking controls are in effect.
3. What LoopBreak does not use Accessibility for
LoopBreak does not use Accessibility Service to read or collect personal content from your screen.

- LoopBreak does not read banking or financial information
- LoopBreak does not read emails
- LoopBreak does not read contacts
- LoopBreak does not record your screen
- LoopBreak does not inspect private content inside other apps
4. What app and screen information is checked
LoopBreak checks whether the currently active app matches one of the apps selected by the user in the blocked apps list.
The blocking decision may use the app package, the active protection state, the current schedule, and whether a temporary QR or NFC unlock is active.
To recognize relevant Android settings screens, LoopBreak may also use structural interface information supplied by Android. On some devices, limited visible labels may be checked to identify an App Info or related settings screen. This information is processed only for the blocking or protection decision and is not used to collect messages, passwords, documents, or private activity.
5. When Accessibility blocking runs
Selected apps are blocked only while a recurring schedule, Quick Lock, or another user-enabled blocking state is active.
Outside an active blocking state, LoopBreak does not prevent the selected apps from opening.
If the user scans a valid QR code or taps a registered NFC tag, LoopBreak may temporarily allow access for the configured unlock period while the underlying blocking state remains active.
If Mindful Delay uses Accessibility to recognize when a selected app is opened, the service may also be active for that user-enabled feature.
6. Protection of relevant settings
While a LoopBreak protection period is active, the Accessibility Service may detect attempts to open Android App Info or other relevant settings that could disable or weaken LoopBreak.
LoopBreak may return the user to the app and display a warning with a timed Continue option. This does not permanently prevent access to Android settings, and it is not used to inspect unrelated settings or personal screen content.
7. QR and NFC unlocks
QR and NFC unlock screens may remain available during an active protection period because they are the controlled unlock methods provided by LoopBreak.
Management screens such as Weekly Schedule, Blocked Apps, Setup NFC Tags, profiles, presets, LoopBreak ID / Recovery, and Accessibility guidance may be restricted while protection is active so the user cannot easily weaken the block while it is running.
8. User control
Android requires the user to manually enable Accessibility Service for LoopBreak in device settings. LoopBreak cannot enable this service by itself.
The user can disable the Accessibility Service from Android settings. If Accessibility is disabled, LoopBreak may not be able to block selected apps or protect relevant settings reliably.
9. Privacy summary
LoopBreak uses Accessibility for one user-facing purpose: to operate and protect the app-blocking controls the user has configured.
LoopBreak does not use Accessibility for advertising, general surveillance, autonomous data entry, or collection of personal screen content.
LoopBreak does not use Accessibility to collect messages, passwords, typed text, financial information, or private data from other apps.
